Parking for the DisabledParking for disabled individuals is available throughout campus in designated spaces.
Disability Parking - effective August 1, 2006
Disability parking on the campus of Georgia Tech requires a state-issued disability placard or license plate. In addition to the state-issued disability placard or license plate, a Georgia Tech parking permit must also be displayed. Parking is authorized in any disability space on campus with these credentials. The permit holder must provide proof of ownership of the state-issued disability credential.
State-issued placards may be obtained at the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) office in each county upon presentation of appropriate documentation from the attending physician.
Vehicles parked in disabled parking spaces without displaying a handicap
permit will immediately result in a fine up to $500.00 and impoundment/towing
of their vehicle along with associated costs. Towing fees will not be waived,
even if the vehicle owner has a permit but failed to display the permit.
