Parking Permit "Perks"

The added value and perks of owning a GT Parking Permit.

Georgia Tech students, faculty and staff who purchase regular parking permits enjoy very unique perks:

Guaranteed Parking on Campus

  • Permit assignment to a specific lot
  • Overflow parking in nearby lots with authorization (out of area reference)
  • Controlled (gated) access to all decks and most surface lots
  • Strict enforcement of parking regulations with on-line appeals process
  • All lots and decks patrolled regularly by police and enforcement staff for added security

Assignment to a specific lot

  • no need to drive around campus searching for a parking spot

After -hours (5:00 pm - 8:00 am) and weekend access to other campus lots

  • may park in most non-residential gated and un-gated lots
  • Buzzcard access to centrally located gated lots (W02, W10, W21, E81)
  • access to areas 2, 3, 4 visitor lots on weekends (except during home football games)

Convenient and simplified online Registration

  • parking registration open April 15 through June 30
  • Guaranteed annual renewal privilege for same lot
  • registration priority for changes in lot assignment
  • ability to register multiple vehicles with one "hangtag" permit
  • Forgot your permit today? One (1) free courtesy permit issued per month

May take advantage of car-pool option

  • must meet eligibility criteria
  • permit fees discounted by $250.00 (ARC grant funded)

Convenient and Cost Saving Payment Option (faculty, staff and qualifying graduate students)

  • weekly or monthly payroll deduction
  • Substantial savings though pre-tax deduction of parking fees

Multiple Lot Parking Privilege with Official Business Permit (faculty & staff only)

  • must have valid business need & senior administrator approval
  • out-of-zone parking in all un-gated lots for up to 2 hours in unrestricted spaces
  • Parking in service vehicle spaces and loading zones up to 30 minutes

"Good Samaritan" Notification

  • may be notified if vehicle lights are on, windows open, doors unlocked, etc.....
  • Courtesy call before towing vehicle for parking violation or emergency relocation
