Official Business Parking PermitsVice presidents, deans, directors and department heads who have personnel using personal automobiles for making deliveries, or transporting equipment or large amounts of supplies and materials may apply annually in writing to the Parking Office for an Official Business Parking Permit.
NOTE: Flagrant abuse of the Official Business Parking
Permit will result in the cancellation of the permit. The permit is not
intended to authorize routine, long-term parking in spaces that have been
designated for short-term, limited use.
Use of metered spaces, handicapped spaces, reserved spaces, restricted
areas, landscaped areas, or sidewalk parking is not permitted when using
the Official Business Parking Permit.

This permit,
which is primarily designed to be shared by offices or employee groups, allows
the use of loading zones while loading and unloading for up to 30 minutes,
Service Vehicle spaces for up to 30 minutes, and any other unreserved, non-gated,
or non-metered parking space while on official Institute business.
Vehicles must also display a Georgia Tech vehicle registration permit with an Official
Business Permit to exercise official business parking privileges. Vehicles
parked in excess of the 30-minute limit will be cited and are subject to
impoundment. The Parking & Transportation Services department reserves the
right to limit the number of business permits issued on campus. Authorization
to enter gated areas is not generically approved for Official Business Permits.
Marked Georgia Tech service vehicles, marked commercial delivery vehicles,
or individuals with demonstrable special pickup or delivery needs will be
admitted through the attendant at each location. |
