Violations and AppealsPenalties and fines are hereby established for violations involving motor vehicles parked within the campus boundaries.
All fines and fees
shall be paid in the Parking Office. Persons having unpaid fines at the
end of each semester/year may be prohibited from
registering their motor vehicle for the following semester/year or distribution
of the permit may be placed on hold until the outstanding balance is
paid. In the event of failure to pay fines and fees assessed under this
section, the Institute may arrange for collection in the following manner:
- Students having unpaid fines and fees may have registration
holds placed on their record and will not be allowed to register for
classes until
the delinquency has been cleared with the Bursar's Office.
- Persons
who choose to pay their fines by mail must pay by CHECK, APPROVED CREDIT
CARD, and OR MONEY ORDER ONLY.
- Payment by BuzzCard or cash is
accepted in person.
Effective April 3, 2000, the following policy
will apply:
Citations not paid within a thirty-day time period
will be transferred to the student's Bursar account. After these
citations are transferred to the Bursar, payment of these citations
will not
be
accepted at the Parking Office. Payment must be made directly
to the Bursar's Office. Unpaid citations are considered a Georgia Tech
receivable
and
failure to make payment may result in a registration hold and
the
implementation of collection by a collection agency.
