Stingerette Shuttle

Stingerette Van Escort Service provides call-in, reserved, on campus transportation for students, faculty and staff of the Georgia Institute of Technology. Hours of operation are 6PM to 2:30AM sharp. No early calls taken and no calls for service will be taken after 2:00 AM.

Ride Request Procedure
Stingerette service ends promptly at 2:30 AM.

To request a ride, call 404-385-RIDE. Give the dispatcher the number of people that will be riding, name of the building you are departing from, and the name of the building you wish to travel to. The dispatcher will inform you of an approximate time that the van will arrive to pick you up. PLEASE BE WAITING FOR THE VAN.

• Stingerette will only be able to wait five minutes at any pick up point.

• Travel on Stingerette is single leg, one-way travel only.

• Trips are assigned to maximize the number of riders and to minimize the number of miles driven.

• Do not ask the drivers to change your destination while en route.

• Stingerette service does not serve campus properties covered by the Tech Trolley and Stinger bus services until after those services have ended for the evening.

Stingerette Boundaries and Limitations
The area is bounded by 10th Street , Interstate I75/85, North Avenue, Tech Parkway, and Northside Drive. Areas served also include Technology Square, GTRI, Graduate Living Center, NARA and sections of Marietta Street and MARTA MidTown Station after 11:00 PM.

Travel outside these boundaries will only be undertaken with prior arrangement and approval of Parking and Transportation Services. Stingerette is for safe, after hours travel from academic buildings and living accomodations within the service area. It is not for trips to retail, food, or entertainment venues.

Alternatives for Transport
If your waiting time for a ride will be more than 30 minutes for Stingerette and your ride request is prior to midnight, we suggest that you use the Red Route or Blue Route Stinger bus for transportation around the main campus area. Please inquire from the Stingerette Dispatcher for the closest Stinger bus stops to the building you are leaving and the building you wish to travel to. For escort service after 2:30 AM, please call Georgia Tech Police Dispatch.
